Victor T. Rendano Jr., VMD, MS, DACVR, DACVR(RO)

Board certified in both radiology and radiation oncology, Dr. Victor Rendano oversees diagnostic imaging at Veterinary Multi-Imaging.
Dr. Rendano graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Mediciane in 1972. Following veterinary school, he continued his studies by completing an internship and residency at the University of Guelph and a Master of Science Degree at Washington State University. After finishing a rigorous training program, he was inducted as a diplomate into the American College of Veterinary Radiology and received his board certification 1975.
In 1976, Dr. Rendano accepted a tenure track faculty position in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Rendano worked at Cornell as an associate professor and senior radiology clinician for 20 years. In 1996, Dr. Rendano retired from his position at Cornell Veterinary School in order to study radiation oncology and pursue a career in private practice.
Having completed his radiation oncology studies at Cornell University, Colorado State University, University of Wisconsin, Washington State University and the SUNY Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, Dr. Rendano was awarded board certification in veterinary radiation oncology in 2001.
Dr. Rendano has published over 100 papers and has lectured throughout the world. The New York State Veterinary Medical Society and the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Society have honored him for his outstanding career and his dedication to the veterinary profession.


N. Joel Edwards, DVM, ACVIM

N. Joel Edwards ’64 will be recognized with the Daniel Elmer Salmon Award for Distinguished Alumni Service, given annually by the Alumni Association of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. To be presented at the New York State Veterinary Conference, on October 1, 2011, the award recognizes and honors Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine graduates who have distinguished themselves in service to the profession, their communities, or to the College.
A native New Yorker, Dr. Edwards is an honor roll member of the AVMA, a life member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, a distinguished life member of the Capital District Veterinary Medical Society, and serves on its Continuing Education Committee. He is one of the co-founders of the John W. Whitefield Memorial Scholarship fund, and is a loyal college supporter – both financially and as a former lecturer. A boarded veterinary cardiologist, he is active with a long list of organizations, including the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and helped to establish both the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and the Capital District Animal Emergency Clinic.


Martin DeAngelis, DVM, ACVS

Dr. DeAngelis was formerly chief of orthopedics at the world-renowned animal medical center in New York for over a decade. Dr. DeAngelis has been part of the Westchester community for more than 30 years. Pet owners from across the country have come to rely on Dr. DeAngelis for his expertise in orthopedic surgery, cancer-related surgery, laser surgery, neurosurgery and soft-tissue surgery, and for his compassionate treatment of their loved ones. In addition, the veterinary community worldwide recognizes Dr. DeAngelis as the innovator of what is the best practice for the extracapsular surgical technique in the repair of cranial cruciate ligament ruptures, which has improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of animal owners and their pets.
In 2006, Dr. DeAngelis received the Legend Award from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). Given in recognition of surgical procedures that have proven their value by becoming the treatment of choice for a specific condition, he was the second one in the college to receive this honor.
A good hearted supporter of the SPCA of Westchester, Dr. DeAngelis has provides spay/neuter services for pets, boarding for adoptable puppies and sponsorships for the SPCA’s annual Walkathon and Top Hat & Cocktails auction and benefit.
Dr. DeAngelis received both his Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine and Doctor of Veterinary Science from the University of Illinois. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and has lectured in the United States, Canada and Europe.
